Ma, a research assistant professor at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, suggested that exercising in the early morning before eating could potentially lead to greater weight loss compared to exercising at other times of the day.

While the study controlled for variables such as sex, sedentary behavior, and age, the results are not definitive. Dr. Holly Lofton, director of the medical weight management program at New York University Langone Health, emphasizes the need for a control group and longer studies before confirming the benefits of morning workouts for weight loss.
